The SCC is a school level council that involves students, teachers, parents and community members working together with the school on issues that affect student learning and well being.
Your SCC meets 8-10 times a year to plan and discuss school events and happenings. Some major projects and events in the last year included working with the school to launch the archery program. Thanks to the teachers, this program has been a huge success. The outdoor classroom structure is up and one of our goals this year is to complete it with tables, benches and chairs. We also partnered with the school on several literacy events and bringing in guest speakers. Some of the programs and events we run are: parent/student engagement events, Christmas store, Christmas lunch, Christmas concert, staff appreciation lunch, bike rodeo, brain walk and grade 1-6 track and field day.
